Usage

Insert inkPad blocks from the block inserter and edit their content with standard block-editor controls. Use the block sidebar for block-specific layout and style options.

Use the inkPad settings screen for shared colours, typography, spacing, motion, and container width. Global frame parts are optional and can be edited from the inkFrame administration screens.

Linked Card

Linked Card is a flexible InnerBlocks container for headings, images, paragraphs, lists, buttons, and other blocks. Add or search for a destination in the Card Link panel or block toolbar, then provide an accessible link label that describes where the card goes. The label gives screen-reader users meaningful destination context; inkPad supplies a generic fallback if it is temporarily left blank.

The full-card link uses a separate overlay, so nested buttons and text links remain independently keyboard reachable and clickable. Place Linked Cards in Row columns to build responsive card layouts. Appearance is optional: use the ordinary inkPad/WordPress background, text colour, spacing, border, radius, shadow, and alignment controls instead of a forced card style.

Test layout and appearance with the active theme before publishing because theme styles can affect block presentation.

License and Bundled Assets

inkPad is licensed under GPL-2.0-or-later. Bundled inkPad code, patterns, and the paw SVG asset use the same GPL-compatible licence. No third-party libraries, fonts, images, or remote code are bundled in this release.

Does inkPad work with every theme?

inkPad is designed for block-editor workflows, but it does not guarantee identical presentation with every theme. Test it with the intended theme on a staging site.

  • Restricted bundled SVG icon markup to a narrow, presentation-only SVG allowlist.
  • Kept development qualification tools out of the production release package and verified all distributed PHP entry points block direct access.
  • Repaired desktop header submenu pointer traversal and coordinated sibling toggle state without changing mobile or footer navigation.
